The 6th Street Bridge
This art deco designed viaduct built in 1932 spans the Los Angeles river and connects downtown LA to Boyle Heights, it's the only bridge that during construction used sand from Santa Barbara that had a high alkali content which resulted in a form of concrete cancer from within the bridge, studies on the integrity of the bridge showed that it would most likely come down in a large earthquake and so this LA icon and noted historical landmark will be demolished in the Fall of 2015 and a new bridge built. The 6th St Bridge is probably the most used filming location in LA county and it's scenic use will be sorely missed
