1941 Indian Scout

1941 Indian Scout

Owned and raced by Fred Fosse from France this ’41 Indian motorcycle was originally shipped to France during World War Two where it was used during the war. Fred’s Grandfather was with the French 2nd Armored Division which was formed in London in late 1943 and led the liberation of Paris during the Allied invasion of France. The Indian Scout has been in the family for many years and is a beloved piece of their history. Some American friends suggested Fred should come and race, so he entered the motorcycle and gathered some sponsors with the idea to bring this ’41 Indian Scout that was built to help liberate Europe back to the country of its origin and race on Pismo Beach to honor and commemorate his Grandfather & the French 2nd Armored Division and all U.S. Veterans who helped liberate France and the rest of Europe from Nazi occupation.
